movement

We made it back from our trip to Pittsburgh, and we had a good time. The baby shower was alot of fun, thank you to everyone that was there!! Now we just have to go through our list and see what is left to get for bean!
Speaking of Bean, he is moving around more and more each day. You cant feel him on the outside yet, but I definitely feel him on the inside. He moves around mostly in the morning and evening, which leads me to believe that he sleeps all day! I just cant wait until Dan can feel him.

BOY!!!!

Today we had our anatomy scan. Everything looks good and normal in there, nothing to report. We found out that it is a boy, and we are thrilled!!! That is what we wanted. Now we just have to work on the name. We have one in mind, but haven't made the final decision yet.

Almost to a big day!!

We have less than a week now until we find out if bean is a boy or a girl. This will be the longest week ever!
On the other hand, time is flying by really fast and I can't believe we are almost at 5 months pregnant already. The baby will be here before we know it!
I guess I will talk to you all on June 30, after the appointment, to let you know how it turned out.

Today we went for our Down Syndrome screening test. Good news, we are not showing any signs or markers for that! They also told me that everything else is looking good so far!
Here are the pictures that we got today. They gave us a video as well, but I need to wait for Dan to tell me how to post that here, because I have no idea! Enjoy the pics! I know we definitely did.

registry

We went to Babies R Us yesterday and worked on some of our registry. Then today, I went to Target.com and started one for the furniture that we like. Doing the registries is really fun, but a little overwhelming too! There is so much to get!

heart beat

I got to hear the heartbeat for the first time on friday. That was pretty neat. Made it feel a little more real.
The morning sickness is back this week, and I really feel gross. But I will be out of the first trimester in about a week and a half, so hopefully it will start to go away then.
On May 19th, I am going for another ultrasound, so I will make sure that I put the picture up. I can't wait to see what the baby looks like now!

Summer

Ugh! Its been so hot here already! And I know that it is only going to get worse as time goes by. I have determined that i will be miserable this summer. I already am hating the heat, and I just want to be in the a/c all the time. I've always been that way, but now it will be worse!

So the doctor appt went very well yesterday. We got to see the heartbeat, and that was the coolest thing ever! They did an exam and took tons of blood, (which I hear I need to get used to), and then we got the ultrasound. There was really nothing to it. But I am glad that we got the first appointment out of the way. And I really like our doctor, so that is definitely a plus. We were originally going to see a midwife, but when I asked for an earlier appt, this doctor was the one available. But it all worked out!

Today is our first doctor appt! I am excited and nervous at the same time. I just hope we get good news!
Maybe we will get some pics that I can send to everyone. I think we are supposed to be able to hear the heartbeat too. I will let you guys know how it goes!

Just a dream?

I keep having dreams that we have a boy. I wonder if that is a sign??

Anyway, the morning sickness is still with me, but today it is not as bad as it has been. It would be nice to say that the worst may be over, but I seriously doubt that. I have found different things that help a little, so that is good.

Have you seen that show on TLC, Jon and Kate plus 8?? Its a reality show about these two people that had fertility treatments, and ended up with eight kids! I have been watching a marathon of it today, and I am amazed by these people. They have to be medicated...hahaha

morning sickness

I figured morning sickness felt bad, but I didn't know it felt this bad!!! Geez, I have been nauseous for the past three days, all day. It is not a good feeling. Good thing this is only supposed to last through the first trimester.
Dan is awesome. He is very helpful when I am not feeling good. I am very blessed to have a husband like him.

Bean

For those of you that don't know this already, our baby's name right now is bean. I needed to give it an identity, since I can't feel anything yet. Since the being in my stomach is kinda bean shaped, we went with that.

I don't think Bean likes Mexican food that much....
